THE BELIEVER'S RELATIONSHIP TO JESUS CHRIST!

OUR WORSHIP AND SERVICE BELONG TO GOD ALONE!

Matthew 4:10 - "Then said Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan:  for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve."

EVIDENCE THAT JESUS IS GOD!

John 1:1-3, 14 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The Same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made....And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

Philippians 2:5-8 - "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
1 Timothy 3:16 - "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:  God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Hebrews 1:1-3 - "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."

THAT IS WHY THE FATHER WANTS US TO WORSHIP JESUS!

Matthew 2:1-2, 11 - "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews?  For we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him....And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary His mother, and fell down, and worshipped Him:  and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh."

Matthew 8:2 - "And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, if Thou wilt, Thou canst make me clean."

Matthew 9:18 - "While He spoke these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped Him, saying, My daughter is even now dead:  but come and lay Thy hand upon her, and she shall live."

Matthew 14:33 - "Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped Him, saying, Of a truth Thou art the Son of God."

Matthew 15:25 - "Then came she and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, help me."

Matthew 20:20 - "Then came to Him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping Him, and desiring a certain thing of Him."

Matthew 28:9 - "And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail.  And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him."

BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN JESUS AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR,

WE ARE BOTH HONORED AND GRATEFUL TO BE ABLE TO 

WORSHIP AND SERVE HIM!
