THE INITIAL THOUGHTS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT WRITERS.

THE FIRST SENTENCE PENNED BY EACH OF THE WRITERS
OF THE NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES!

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  that the (child) of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Holy Spirit moved each of the contributing writers of the New Testament, to introduce their message to us with the following sentences:

Matthew 1:1 - "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham."

Mark 1:1-2 - "The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; as it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send My messenger before Thy face, which shall prepare Thy way before Thee."

Luke 1:1-4 - "Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the Word; it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, that thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed."

John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Romans 1:1-7 - "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the Gospel of God, (Which He had promised afore by His prophets in the Holy Scriptures), concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, Who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:  by Whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name:  among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:  to all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints:  Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ."

Hebrews 1:1-4 - (Author  not stated) - "God, Who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they."

James 1:1 - "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greetings."

1 Peter 1:1-2 - "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:  grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied."

Jude 1:1-2 - "Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:  mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied."

THESE NINE (POSSIBLY EIGHT) WRITERS WANTED YOU AND ME TO KNOW THAT JESUS CHRIST IS FROM THE LINEAGE OF ABRAHAM AND DAVID; HE IS THE SON OF GOD; THEY WERE EYEWITNESSES OF THE WORD (THE WORD BEING GOD); HIS APOSTLES WERE HIS SERVANTS; JESUS IS THE CREATOR; JESUS STILL CARES ABOUT THE JEWISH PEOPLE; JESUS IS LORD; JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD FOR US; AND THAT BELIEVERS ARE "PRESERVED IN HIM!"

THEY RISKED THEIR LIVES, SOME EVEN DYING, TO GET THIS MESSAGE TO US!
DO YOU BELIEVE THEM?  IF SO, TRUST IN JESUS TODAY!
