THE WORD OF SALVATION AS I SEE IT

WE ARE SEPARATED FROM GOD BY OUR SIN

*  Romans 3:23; and 6:23a - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God....For the wages of sin is death...."

GOD PROVIDED THE MEANS FOR OUR RECONCILIATION

*  Romans 5:8-11 - "But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom we have now received the atonement."

BELIEVING GOD LOVES US, WE ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS AS OUR LORD

*  Romans 10:8-13 - "....The Word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the Word of faith, which we preach; that if you will verbally confess that Jesus is Lord, and you believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile:  for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

BELIEVING GOD LOVES US, WE ARE MOTIVATED TO LIVE FOR HIM

*  2 Corinthians 5:15-21 - "For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if One died for all, then were all dead:  and that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him Who died for them, and rose again.  Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh:  yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no more.  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the Word of reconciliation.  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be reconciled to God.  For He has made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."

JESUS DIED FOR US SO THAT WE CAN LIVE FOR HIM!
