BELIEVERS WILL CONFESS THEIR FAITH IN JESUS!

SALVATION IS A GIFT TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE!

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast."

HAVING TRUSTED IN CHRIST, THE SPIRIT LEADS US  TO TELL OTHERS!

The word "confess" in the following verses is translated from the Greek ὁμολογέω (homologeō), or one of its forms; which mean:  "to profess; to declare openly, speak out freely; to profess one's self the worshipper of one."  The Spirit guides those He indwells (John 16:13)!

Matthew 10:32-33 - "Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father Who is in heaven.  But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father Who is in heaven."

Matthew 12:36-37 - "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."

Luke 12:8-9 - "Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:  but he that denies Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God."

Romans 10:9-10 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Romans 15:9 - "And that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to Thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto Thy name."

Philippians 2:10-11 - "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

1 John 4:2-3, 15 - "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:  every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  and every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world....Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God."

2 John 1:7 - "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.  This is a deceiver and an Antichrist."
