THE HUMILITY OF THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!
Philippians 2:5-8 - "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
Luke 2:4-7 - "And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem....to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And...while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."
[Note: Jesus entered life and was wrapped in swaddling clothes; Jesus was crucified and buried, also having His body wrapped (Mt. 27:59; Lk. 23:53; Jn. 20:7).]
Luke 2:22, 24 - "And when the days of her purification according to the Law of Moses were accomplished, they brought Him to Jerusalem, to present Him to the Lord....And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the Law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons."
[Note: His family was too poor to bring a lamb - see Leviticus 12:6-8.]
Luke 8:1-3 - "And it came to pass afterward, that He went throughout every city and village, preaching and showing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with Him, and certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, and Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto Him of their substance."
[Note: Jesus and His disciples received financial support from believing women.]
Luke 9:58 - "And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head."
[Note: Jesus would be viewed today as a homeless person.]
JESUS HAS BEEN REWARDED WITH THE GLORY HE HAD
BEFORE HE CAME AS THE LAMB OF GOD - OUR PASSOVER LAMB!
John 17:1-5 - "These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee: as Thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as Thou hast given Him. And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom Thou hast sent. I have glorified Thee on the earth: I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was."
Philippians 2:9-11 - "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
