FOR EVER!

The words "for ever" appear fifty-one times in the King James Version of the New Testament.  It is interesting that they refer to both the glory of God, AND to those of us who believe in Jesus Christ!  How long do born again believers live?  FOR EVER!  Here are a few examples to compare:

Matthew 6:13 - "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.  Amen."

John 6:51, 58 - "I AM the living bread which came down from heaven:  if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever:  and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world....This is that bread which came down from heaven:  not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:  he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever."

John 14:16-17 - "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of Truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him:  but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."

Romans 11:36 - "For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things:  to Whom be glory for ever.  Amen."

Philippians 4:20 - "Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever.   Amen."

2 Timothy 4:18 - "And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom:  to Whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen."

Hebrews 10:12-14 - "But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool.  For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."

Hebrews 13:8 - "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."

1 Peter 1:25 - "But the Word of the Lord endureth for ever.  And this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto you."

1 John 2:17 - "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:  but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

2 John 1:2 - "For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever."

Revelation 1:5-6 - "And from Jesus Christ, Who is The Faithful Witness, and The First Begotten of the dead, and The Prince of the kings of the earth.  Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.  Amen."

Revelation 22:3-5 - "And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:  and they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light:  and they shall reign for ever and ever."

Jesus said, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that

whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (Jn. 3:16)!

Paul said to believers, that he was,  "...confident of this very thing,

that He Who hath begun a good work in you

will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil. 1:6)!
