THE CHILDHOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

MATTHEW 1:18-25 ACCORDING TO MY UNDERSTANDING
THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD!

Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way:  When Mary, His mother, was engaged to Joseph, before their marriage took place, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.  Then Joseph, her husband-to-be, being a just man and not willing to make her a public example, chose to break their engagement privately.  But while he was considering this, behold, The Angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, from the family of King David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife:  for the child she is carrying is conceived of the Holy Spirit.  And she shall give birth to a son, and you shall call His name JESUS:  for He shall save His people from their sins."  Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, 'God with us' (Isaiah 7:14)."  Then Joseph, being raised from sleep did as The Angel of the Lord had told him, and took Mary to be his wife:  but they did not consummate their marriage until after she had brought forth her firstborn son:  and he called His name JESUS.

LUKE 2:41-50 ACCORDING TO MY UNDERSTANDING
AT TWELVE, HE KNEW HE WAS THE SON OF GOD!

Now His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover.  And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the traditions of the feast.  And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and His mother were unaware of it.  But they, supposing Him to have been in the caravan, went a day's journey; and they sought Him among their family and fellow travelers.  Not finding Him, they turned back again to Jerusalem to find Him.  And it came to pass, that after three days, they found Him in the Temple, sitting with the theologians, both listening to them, and asking them questions.  And all that heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.  And when His parents saw Him, they were amazed:  and His mother said unto Him, "Son, why have You done this to us?  Behold, Your father and I have been worried sick."  And He said to them, "How is it that you sought Me?  Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?"  And they did not understand His response to them!

[Note:  When Mary called Joseph His father, notice that Jesus was respectful in correcting her; rather than say Joseph is not my father, He said He was actually doing His real Father's work.]

IT WOULD BE ABOUT EIGHTEEN YEARS BEFORE JESUS
BEGAN HIS JOURNEY TOWARD THE CROSS (LK. 3:23).
