WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
EVERLASTING LIFE AND ETERNAL LIFE?
John 3:14-16 - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
EVERLASTING LIFE: SPIRITUAL LIFE BEGINNING AT THE NEW BIRTH!
Daniel 12:1-2 - And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
John 3:5-7, 36 - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. --- He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.
John 5:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears My Word, and believes on Him that sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Acts 13:44-46 - And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the Word of God. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spoke against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the Word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
ETERNAL LIFE: THE LIFE WE HAVE BEING IN CHRIST!
John 1:1-4 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life....
John 5:39 - Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 John 2:24-25 - Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us, even eternal life.
1 John 5:10-12, 20 - He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself: he that believes not God has made him a liar; because he believes not the record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life. --- And we know that the Son of God is come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him Who is true, and we are in Him Who is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST ARE BORN AGAIN INTO EVERLASTING LIFE!
BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST ARE PARTAKERS OF ETERNAL LIFE IN HIM!
