WHEN IS TWO EQUAL TO TEN?

THE OLD TESTAMENT LAW - THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

Exodus 20:3-17 - And God spoke all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, Who has brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
[1]  Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
[2Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:  for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me; and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.
[3Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain.
[4Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy.  Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:  but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God:  in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:  for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day:  wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath Day, and hallowed it.
[5]  Honor thy father and thy mother:  that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God gives thee.
   [6Thou shalt not kill.
   [7Thou shalt not commit adultery.
   [8]  Thou shalt not steal.
[9Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
[10]  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

THE NEW TESTAMENT LAW - THE TWO COMMANDMENTS

Matthew 5:43-44 - Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

Matthew 7:12 - Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them:  for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 22:37-40 - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.

Romans 13:8-10 - Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:  for he that loves another hath fulfilled the Law.  For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  Love works no ill to his neighbor:  therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law.

Galatians 5:14 - For all the Law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

1 Timothy 1:5 - Now the (goal) of the commandment is (love) out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.

James 2:8 - If ye fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well.

1 John 3:23 - And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

THE OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS OBEYED OUT OF FEAR!
THE NEW TESTAMENT SAINTS OBEY OUT OF LOVE!
WE LOVE GOD BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US (1 John 4:19)!
