THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS

TAKE NOTE OF WHAT THOSE SEEKING SALVATION CALL JESUS!

Luke 23:42-43 - And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou come into thy kingdom.  And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with Me in paradise.

John 9:35-38 - Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Do you believe on the Son of God?  He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on Him?  And Jesus said unto him, You have both seen Him, and it is He Who talks with thee.  And he said, Lord, I believe.  And he worshipped Him.

Acts 9:3-6 - And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus:  and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:  and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?  And he said, Who are You, Lord?  And the Lord said, I am Jesus Whom you persecute: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.  And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what will You have me to do?  And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what you must do.

GENUINE CHRISTIANS SEEK TO OBEY JESUS CHRIST!

Luke 14:26-33 - If any man come to Me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.  And whosoever does not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple.  For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first, and count the cost, whether he has sufficient to finish it?  Lest haply, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.  Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first, and consult whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that comes against him with twenty thousand?  Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he send an ambassador, and desire conditions of peace.  So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be My disciple.

RELIGIOUS WORKS DO NOT SAVE, BUT THE SAVED WORK FOR CHRIST!

Matthew 7:19-23 - Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name?  And in Thy name have cast out devils?  And in Thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:  depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

Ephesians 2:8-10 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians 1:3-6; 2:13 - I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, for your fellowship in the Gospel from the first day until now; being confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. --- For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

WE WILL NOT BE HOLY UNTIL WE SEE JESUS FACE-TO-FACE!

BUT THAT IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT DOING OUR BEST TO PLEASE HIM!
