JESUS PROVED HE WAS ISRAEL'S MESSIAH

*  Galatians 4:4-5 - "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the Law, to redeem them that were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons."

The most difficult people to win to faith in Jesus Christ are the Jews.  In his Gospel written to convince the Jews that Jesus was their Messiah, Matthew repeatedly referred to the Lord's fulfillment of the Old Testament Scriptures:  His Virgin Birth (1:22-23); Jesus taken to Egypt (2:14-15); the slaughter of the innocents (2:16-18); He would be known as a Nazarene (2:23); Jesus would be seen by the Gentiles (4:12-16); He came to fulfill Scripture (5:17-18); Jesus would be a healer (8:16-17); He would show judgment to the Gentiles (12:17-18); Jesus would teach in parables (13:13-14, 34-35); He would enter Jerusalem on a borrowed beast of burden (21:1-6); Jesus told of His Second Coming (24:29-35); His arrest and His disciples fleeing (26:54-57); He was betrayed for thirty pieces of silver (27:9); and the soldiers gambled for His garments (27:35).  As can be seen, many of these could not have been faked as He would have had to conspire with Gentiles, Jews, Romans, and most of His disciples who were later martyred for their faith!

The Bible not only foretold of the events of Christ's First Coming, it also foretells of His Second Coming.  Here are a few examples:

*  Luke 21:20-24 - "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.  Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.  For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.  But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days!  For there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.  And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."

*  Romans 11:25-27 - "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.  And so all Israel shall be saved:  as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:  for this is My covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins."

*  Ephesians 1:10 - "That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him."

JESUS WILL RETURN TO COMPLETE ALL THE PROPHECIES CONCERNING HIS EARTHLY KINGDOM (REV. 19:11-20:15)!  PLACE YOUR FAITH IN HIM TODAY!
