PRAISE AND WORSHIP MUSIC IS NOT NEW

Exodus 15:1 - "Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spoke, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for He hath triumphed gloriously:  the horse and his rider hath He thrown into the sea."

Judges 5:3 - "Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel."

1 Chronicles 16:4, 23 - "And (David) appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel....Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day His salvation."

2 Chronicles 7:6 - "And the priests waited on their offices:  the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because His mercy endureth forever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood."

2 Chronicles 20:21 - "And when (Jehoshaphat) had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for His mercy endureth forever."

Ezra 3:10 - "And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel."

Psalm 7:17 - "I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high."

Psalm 13:6 - "I will sing unto the LORD, because He hath dealt bountifully with me."

Psalm 30:4 - "Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness."

Psalm 33:2 - "Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto Him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings."

Psalm 95:1 - "O come, let us sing unto the LORD:  let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation."

Psalm 96:1-2 - "O sing unto the LORD a new song:  sing unto the LORD, all the earth.  Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; show forth His salvation from day to day."

Psalm 98:1, 5 - "O sing unto the LORD a new song; for He hath done marvellous things:  His right hand, and His holy arm, hath gotten Him the victory....Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a Psalm."

Psalm 104:33 - "I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being."

Psalm 135:3 - "Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto His name; for it is pleasant."

Psalm 146:2 - "While I live will I praise the LORD:  I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being."

Psalm 147:7 - "Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God."

Psalm 149:1 - "Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints."

Isaiah 12:5 - "Sing unto the LORD; for He hath done excellent things:  this is known in all the earth."

Isaiah 42:10 - "Sing unto the LORD a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof."

Jeremiah 20:13 - "Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD:  for He hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers."

Ephesians 5:19 - "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."

Colossians 3:16 - "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
