GOD'S LOVE IS BEYOND OUR COMPREHENSION!

Those of us who have come to faith in Jesus, God's only begotten Son, Whose death was to be the full payment for our sins; who trust the Word of God which repeatedly tells us that His Father, our God, raised Him from the dead, just as the Scriptures foretold He would; now seek to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and in His likeness, so that He might receive the praise that is due Him, and that He might have joy because of our living lives of gratitude!  For He, before He began creating all that there is, knew what mankind would cost Him:  He knew He would have to humble Himself and become flesh, just to suffer and die, that the fallen human race would be offered salvation by faith in Him as the risen King of kings and Lord of lords!  And yet, He STILL CREATED US!

Here are a few verses which form the basis for my thoughts above, and which should not only humble those who read them, but should also cause hearts to surrender to His Lordship:

*  Acts 2:22-24 - "Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death:  because it was not possible that He should be holden of it."

*  Roman 8:28-30 - "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.  For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified:  and whom He justified, them He also glorified."

*  Ephesians 1:3-6 - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:  having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.

*  1 Peter 1:1-5 - "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:  grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

*  1 Peter 1:18-21 - "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God."
