IF JESUS IS YOUR LORD, IS IT OBVIOUS TO OTHERS?

WE ARE NOT CHILDREN OF GOD BY DOING GOOD WORKS;

WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD BY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!

HOWEVER, AS A CHILD OF GOD, WE ARE RECOGNIZABLE 

BY THE GOOD WORKS WE DO FOR OTHERS!

Matthew 7:20-27 (as I understand it) - Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.  Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.*   Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name?  And in Your name have cast out devils?  And in Your name done many wonderful works**   And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:  depart from Me, you that work iniquity.  Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a Rock:***  and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not:  for it was founded upon a Rock.  And everyone that hears these sayings of Mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:  and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell:  and great was the fall of it.

HOW DOES ONE BECOME A CHILD OF GOD?  

BY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD!

John 1:11-13 (as I understand it) - Jesus came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:14-18 (as I understand it) - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:  that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.  He that believes on Him is not condemned:  but he that does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.

Acts 2:36-38 (as I understand it) - Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, Whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 16:30-34 (as I understand it) - And the jailer brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your whole house.  And they spoke unto him the Word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.  And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.  And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

Romans 10:9-13, 17 (as I understand it) - That if you will publicly confess your faith in the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes in Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile:  for the same Lord, Who is over all, is rich unto all who call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - - - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
