JESUS POURED OUT HIS WHOLE LIFE FOR US!

JESUS WILLINGLY DIED FOR THE SINS OF MAN!

Philippians 2:5-11 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God,* thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  but He made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Wherefore, God also has highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:  that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Note:  * Jesus was the "expressed image of His Father's glory," (Hebrews 1:3), and "God manifest in the flesh" (1 Timothy 3:16)!

TO DO SO, HE BECAME FLESH AND BLOOD!

Matthew 16:15-17 - Jesus said unto them, But Whom do you say that I am?  And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.  And Jesus answered and said unto him, You are blessed, Simon, son of Jonah:  for flesh and blood did not revealed that unto you, but My Father, Who is in heaven, did.

1 Corinthians 15:50 - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;* neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

Note:  * Because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, we must, and will be, changed (1 Corinthians 15:51-54)!

Galatians 1:15-17 - But when it pleased God, Who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by His grace, to reveal His Son through me, that I might proclaim Him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:  nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

Ephesians 6:10-12Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the cunning lies of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Hebrews 2:14-17Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, Jesus also took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  For truly He did not take on the nature of angels; but He took on Himself the seed of Abraham.  Wherefore in all things it behooved Him to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of people.

THE RESURRECTED LORD PURPOSEFULLY
DOES NOT MENTION HIS BLOOD!

Luke 24:36-40 - And as they were speaking, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said unto them, Peace be unto you.  But they were terrified and supposed that they had seen a spirit.  And He said unto them, Why are you troubled?  And why do such thoughts arise in your hearts?  Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I:  handle Me, and see; for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.  And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.

THE WORD SAYS THE LIFE IS IN THE BLOOD,
AND HE HAD SHED* HIS BLOOD!

Leviticus 17:11 - For the life of the flesh is in the blood:  and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:  for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

Note:  * "Shed" is from the Greek word ekcheo which means:  "totally poured out."  The same word is used to describe the love that God has for us in Titus 3:4-7.

Matthew 26:28 - For this is My blood of the new testament (new covenant), which is shed* for many for the remission of sins.

Mark 14:24 - And He said unto them, This is My blood of the new testament (new covenant), which is shed* for many.

Luke 22:20 - Likewise also, He took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament (new covenant) in My blood, which is shed* for you.

Hebrews 9:22 - . . . without shedding* of blood is no remission.

THE LOVE OF GOD WAS POURED OUT FOR YOU!

GRATITUDE IS THE ATTITUDE
OF THOSE WHO BELIEVE!
