THE TRUTH PLUS ANYTHING IS A LIE!
NOTE: *THE WORD AS I UNDERSTAND IT!
GOD SAID:
Genesis 2:16-17* - And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.
EVE ADDED TO WHAT GOD SAID:
Genesis 3:2-3* - And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.
THE TRUTH GLEANED FROM THIS:
Proverbs 30:5-6* - Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. Do not add unto His words, lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar.
THE TRUE SOURCE OF ALL LIES!
John 8:39-44* - They answered and said unto Him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said unto them, If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham (Abraham believed God - Romans 4:3; Galatians 3:6; James 2:23). But now you seek to kill Me, One Who has told you the truth, which I have heard of God: Abraham did not do so (Abraham lied at least twice - Genesis 12:11-20; 20:1-18). You do the deeds of your father. Then said they to Him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God (The ultimate irony - the children of the devil were speaking to the Son of God!). Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, you would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? It is because you cannot hear My Word. You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and had nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of liars.
THE CONSEQUENCES OF BEING A LIAR!
Jeremiah 50:31, 36* - Behold, I am against you, O you most proud, says the Lord GOD of hosts: for your day is come, the time that I will visit you. - - - A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote (show the wickedness of their folly): a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.
Revelation 21:7-8* - He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son. But the fearful (ones who refuse to believe God loves them), and unbelieving (those who know the truth but refuse to believe it), and the abominable (those who deliberately do that which God hates), and murderers (those who kill or desire to kill others), and whore mongers (those who feed their lusts), and sorcerers (the Greek here is pharmakeus - drug addicts), and idolaters (those who worship anything but God), and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
HOW DOES ONE OVERCOME THESE SINS?
1 John 5:1-5* - Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loves Him that begot loves Him also that is begotten of Him (God the Father begot Jesus - John 1:14, 18; 3:16,18; 1 John 4:9). By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments (Galatians 5:14 - For all the Law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; You shall love your neighbor as yourself.). For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous. For whosoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God!
ALL HAVE SINNED BUT NOT ALL WILL BE SENT TO THE LAKE OF FIRE!
THOSE WHO BELIEVE GOD'S WORD, AND TRUST IN JESUS WILL
EXPERIENCE ETERNAL LIFE IN THE PRESENCE OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR!
