SALVATION EXPLAINED IN THREE SHORT PASSAGES OF SCRIPTURE, AS I UNDERSTAND THEM!

JESUS, THE I AM, 

IS THE ONLY WAY, THE ONLY TRUTH, AND THE ONLY LIFE!

John 14:1-3, 6 (as I understand it) - Let not your heart be troubled:  you believe in God (My Father), believe also in Me.  In My Father's house are many dwelling places:  if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself (See also 1 Cor. 15:50-54; 1 Th. 4:13-18); that where I AM, there you may be also. - - - Jesus said . . . I AM The Way, I AM The Truth, and I AM The Life:  no man comes unto The Father, but by Me.

TRUE FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST WILL BE SHARED WITH OTHERS!

Romans 10:8-13 (as I understand it) - But what does it (The Gospel - The Word that produces faith - See Rom. 1:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:1-4) say?  The Word is so close to you, it is even in your mouth and in your heart:  that is, the Word of Faith, which we preach; which says that if you publicly confess your faith in the Lord Jesus, and truly believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart one believes and is declared to be righteous (See Gen. 15:6; Rom. 4:3; Gal. 3:6; Jam. 2:13); and with the mouth confession of your faith in Jesus results in your salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever truly believes in Jesus shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile:  for the same One Who is Lord over all, shall reward all who call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

SALVATION IS NOT BASED UPON OUR RELIGIOUS WORKS,

BUT IT IS BASED UPON THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS ON THE CROSS!

1 Peter 1:17-23 (as I understand it) - And if you call on the Father, Who without respect of persons judges according to every believer's work (for rewards - See 1 Cor. 3:9-15), pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:  forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed from your vain way of life of following the traditions of your fathers, by such corruptible things such as silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, as our Passover Lamb (See Jn. 1:29; 1 Cor. 5:7) Who was without blemish and without spot, that is, without sin (See 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15):  Who truly was foreordained to die for us before the foundation of the world (See Rev. 13:8), but was manifest (See Jn. 1:14; 1 Tim. 3:16; 2 Tim. 1:10) in these last times for you, who by Him do believe in God, Who raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.  Seeing you have purified your souls by believing the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:  being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which lives and abides forever.

JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS AND WAS BURIED!

HIS FATHER RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD TO BE 

OUR ETERNAL KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!
