SIN IS THE OPPOSITE OF FAITH!

FAITH IS TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD!

Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance* of things hoped for**, the evidence*** of things not seen.

Notes:  *The Greek word here is hypostasis, which means "that which exists."
             **The Greek word here is elpizo, which means "to await with total confidence."
             ***The Greek word here is elegchos, which means "proof that something is true."

WHATSOEVER IS NOT OF FAITH IS SIN!

Romans 14:23 - And he that doubts* is damned** . . . for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Notes:  *The Greek word here is diakrino, which means "unsure of God's will."
             **The Greek word here is katakrino, which means "sins for his lack of faith."

IT IS OUR FAITH THAT PLEASES GOD!

Hebrews 1:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please Him:  for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

THE FIRST SIN:  ADAM DOUBTED GOD'S WORD!

Genesis 2:21-24 - And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept:  and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:  she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife:  and they shall be one flesh.

Genesis 3:1-6 - Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.  And he said unto the woman, Yea, has God said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:  but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.  And the serpent said unto the woman, You shall not surely die:  for God knows that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

YOU HAVE A CHOICE:  

YOU CAN BELIEVE GOD'S WORD AND BE SAVED;

OR YOU CAN REJECT GOD'S WORD 

AND SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!

GOD'S WORD SAYS:

1.  ALL HAVE SINNED AND NEED A SAVIOR!

2.  JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES!

3.  HE WAS BURIED AND WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD THREE DAYS LATER!

4.  WHOSOEVER WILL CONFESS THEIR FAITH IN THE RISEN JESUS, AND TRULY BELIEVES IN THEIR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, WILL BE SAVED!
