HE WHO WINS SOULS IS WISE

Proverbs 11:30 - "...he who wins souls is wise."

 

   Romans 10:17 - "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

 

Romans 1:16 - "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  

for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes..."

THE GOSPEL

*  1 Corinthians 1:17-18 - "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel:  not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved, it is the power of God."
*  1 Corinthians 9:16 - "For though I preach the Gospel, I have nothing to glory of:  for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the Gospel!"
*  1 Corinthians 15:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved....For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures."
*  Galatians 1:8-9 - "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other so-called gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other so-called gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed."
*  Galatians 3:8 - "And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the Gospel unto Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed."
*  Ephesians 1:12-13 - "That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ.  In Whom you also trusted, after you heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation:  in whom also after you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise."
*  1 Thessalonians 2:4 - "But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the Gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, Who tries our hearts."
*  2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 - "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ."
*  2 Timothy 1:9-10 - "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, Who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel."
*  1 Peter 1:25 - "But the Word of the Lord shall endure forever.  And this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto you."
