* Acts 1:8 - Jesus told Peter and the rest of His disciples, "...you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all of Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Gentiles)."
JERUSALEM AND JUDAEA
* Acts 2:14, 32 - On the Day of Pentecost, Peter stood up...and said unto them, You men of Judaea, and all you who dwell in Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words....This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
SAMARIA
* Acts 8:14, 25 - Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John....and they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the Gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
SAUL OF TARSUS (THE APOSTLE PAUL)
* Acts 9:26-28 - And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join himself to the disciples (including Peter): but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple. But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that He had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. And he was with them (the disciples including Peter) coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
THE GENTILES
* Acts 11:1-4, 18 - And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the Word of God. And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those who were of the circumcision contended with him, saying, You went in to men uncircumcised (Gentiles), and did eat with them. But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them....When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
RECOGNIZING THE APOSTLE PAUL'S MINISTRY
* Acts 15:1-2, 6-7 -And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question....And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the Word of the Gospel, and believe. [See Gal. 2:9 - Paul, describing his meeting with the Apostles, wrote: "And when James, Cephas (Peter), and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision."]* 2 Peter 3:15-16 - Peter wrote: "And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction.
