RELIGIOUS WORKS CANNOT SAVE YOU!
* Romans 3:24-28 (SLV) - Born again believers are "...justified (made right with God) freely by His grace (unmerited favor) through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation (full payment of a debt) through faith in His blood (Jesus gave His life, for the life of man is in his blood - Lev. 17:11), to declare His righteousness (right standing with God - see Mt. 6:33; 2 Cor. 5:21) for the remission of sins (sins for which payment has been made in full)....To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? NO, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the works of the law."
* Galatians 2:16 (SLV) - We know "...that a man is not justified by (religious) works of the Law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the Law: for by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified."
* Ephesians 2:8-9 (SLV) - "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of (religious) works, so that no man can boast."
* Titus 3:5-7 (KJV) - "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
THERE IS ONE "WORK" THAT CAN SAVE US!
" John 6:29 (SLV) - "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you BELIEVE on Me Whom My Father has sent!"
[Compare this interpretation with John 3:16 (KJV) which reads: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."]
